CEA/Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties Building Trades Conference

Leaders of the Construction Employers’ Association (CEA), the Santa Clara Building Trades Council and the Building and Construction Trades Council of San Mateo County recently held their seventh annual labor-management partnering conference.
Charles Toeniskoetter, President of Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc., San Jose; John Neece, CEO of the Santa Clara Building Trades Council; and Bill Nack, Business Manager/Executive Officer of the Building and Construction Trades Council of San Mateo County jointly chaired the all-day conference attended by approximately 60 industry leaders representing general and subcontractor companies and various craft specialties.
Featured speaker Doug Henton, CEO of Collaborative Economics discussed economic trends affecting the Silicon Valley construction industry. In addition, Toeniskoetter presented graphs at the conference displaying current and forecasted market trends prepared by CEA from data supplied by the Construction Industry Research Board.
