CEA Announces Officers

The Construction Employers’ Association (CEA) introduced its 2000 officers at its 13th annual general membership dinner meeting last month.

CEA is comprised of more than 100 unionized contractors--primarily commercial and industrial general contractors--who perform building construction work in Northern California. Its membership base performs more than $10 billion in public and private construction volume annually.

Greg Cosko, executive vice president and COO of Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction Company, San Francisco, was elected to serve as the associationÕs president, He succeeds Gary Kalian, executive vice president of Lathrop Construction Associates Inc., Benicia. Donald Clark, operations manager of Clark Pacific, West Sacramento was elected as first vice president, and James Losch, president of Hallmark Construction Inc., Santa Clara, will serve as new vice president. Kalian will take over the office of past president/treasurer, and Michael Walton will continue as CEA's secretary.

About the President

Greg Cosko began his career with Dinwiddie Construction Company in 1975 while attending San Francisco State University. Prior to that he spent two years with the Austin Company of Cleveland.

As senior vice president in charge of the DinwiddieÕs Los Angeles office from 1989 to 1991, Cosko was responsible for several major projects, including the 52-story California Plaza office building and Inter-Continental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, 1999 Avenue of the Stars in Century City and the renovation of the Century City Shopping Center. In October 1991, he was appointed executive-in-charge of the $900 million Getty Center project.
